Location
The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) is at the heart of New York State’s electric system, operating the high-voltage transmission network, administering and monitoring the wholesale electricity markets, and planning for the state’s energy future. The NYISO is responsible for the reliable operation of New York’s nearly 11,000 miles of high-voltage transmission and the dispatch of over 500 electric power generators. In addition, the NYISO administers bulk power markets that trade an average of $7.5 billion in electricity and related products annually.
We are seeking experienced Supervisors/Managers for multiple positions in our Information Technology Department
As a Supervisor you will contribute to the NYISO Information Technology infrastructure in our state-of-the-art electrical grid facility.
Currently we are seeking Supervisors in the following areas:
Supervisor, IT Release and Control
Supervisor, Service Desk
Supervisor, Development (Business Intelligence Technologies, Energy Market Technologies & Enterprise Business Technologies)
Supervisor, QA Reliability & Markets
Experience/Skills
· 7 years related experience in IT support / service, software development, quality assurance, or related functions.
· Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and / or providing technical and supervisory oversight to a team or work group
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics or related technical field.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
